Subject: Call for Application: Antall József Summer School 2017

I would like to take this opportunity to call your attention to the fifth instalment of the Antall József Summer School, to be held on 3-14 July 2017 in Budapest, Hungary.

The Antall József Summer School is a two-week educational programme putting under scrutiny the most pivotal cooperation of the Central European region, the Visegrad Cooperation. Many aspects of this partnership are examined throughout the school including history, economy policy, energy policy, innovation, foreign and security policy, culture and tourism, and the question of sustainability via lectures, workshops, debates, and roundtable discussions.

The 2017 event will examine the position of the Visegrad Countries within the European Union, commemorating historic milestones such as the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Lisbon. Therefore, the Summer School will open with a high-level event featuring prominent people involved with the EU accession negotiation of the V4 countries in order to make sure that the thirteen years that have passed since the accession are appropriately assessed.

The Knowledge Centre invites 50 participants, aged 21-35, primarily from V4 countries, the CEI, Western Balkan, and Eastern Partnership member states. The Summer School is primarily for MA and PhD students, as well as graduated researchers.

The purpose of my letter is to kindly ask for your assistance in distributing the call for application among the students.

Please find the call for application attached.

Thank you very much for considering our request.
